When I photograph cats, I see them as more than pets, they become the visual landscape of a home. Cats are almost sculptural: the curve of a tail echoing the line of a chair, a silhouette against a window, a cat tucked into the geometry of a staircase. Other times it is more intimate - a familiar face appearing from beneath a table. Those details matter because they tell a story about belonging.
A good photograph of a cat is not only about how the cat looks. It is about where the cat fits. It captures the relationship between personality, routine, architecture and home
